Zouma looks for an early long pass for Abraham's run but the offside flag went up against the Chelsea striker.
CHANCE! Lowton plays a long ball which catches Zouma out and Barnes has a one-on-one with Mendy who just does enough to put the striker off and the effort is looped off target.
Kante looks for a big switch of play from his deeper role towards Chilwell but the left back can't take it down and it runs out for a goalkick.
Chilwell tries to find Havertz between the lines and then Abraham's one-two with Mount breaks down as Chelsea strive for some understanding in attacking areas.
Chelsea have a small opening as James' cross is deflected and rhen headed towards goal by Havertz, but Pope claims comfortably.
The game has settled in a pattern now with Burnley allowing Chelsea the ball in deeper areas then pressing aggressively in midfield.
James is playing very high up here and gets a cross into the box for Chilwell, who is eased out of the way smartly by Brownhill. Then, Abraham draws a save out of Pope with a header.
Chilwell bombs forward well for Chelsea but his cross is overhit and goes out for a goal kick on the other side.
Mount releases Werner in the left channel but the pass lacks a little pace and Werner's cut-back ends up being defended well by Burnley.
Now Ziyech tries his trademark right-to-left killer pass for Chelsea but the ball just bounces awkwardly as Chilwell looked to get onto it. Both Chelsea fullbacks are playing very high here.
Close! Zouma hits a weak back pass and Barnes goes down in the foot race for the loose ball but the referee deems Zouma not to have fouled the striker and VAR agrees.
James gets forward again up the right and swings in a cross but Pope claims comfortably. Surely it's just a matter of time until a Chelsea fullback either assists or scores a goal in this match.
And again, Mount releases James to cross but Long defends very well. Burnley are relatively comfortable defending wide deliveries so far... it's their strength.
GOAL! Ziyech! The Moroccan scores on his first Chelsea Premier League start as Abraham sets him up to shoot and Pope is completely wrong-footed and is easily beaten. Burnley 0-1 Chelsea.
Chelsea nearly work another clear chance as Mount slips in Werner in the inside left channel but the German can't pick out either Abraham or Havertz in the box.
Close again for Burnley as Stephens hooks a ball over the top and Zouma has to show good strength as Wood chases it down. But Burnley's percentage passes into space are causing some real problems.
Chelsea have had 79% of the possession in the game so far.
Westwood delivers a corner for Burnley - a good avenue for the hosts today with their height - but Mendy catches well. That won't be the last time he is called into action on high balls this afternoon for Chelsea.
Mount plays a lovely switch of play to James but Burnley have a couple of players closing down Werner when a low cross from the Chelsea fullbacks reaches the German striker.
Abraham drops deep, finds Chilwell on the left and the fullbacks excellent cross misses out Pope but Werner isn't anticipating.
Chilwell is free on a counter attack and has both Werner and Havertz to find on a big diagonal but Tarkowski defends excellently to head back to Pope for Burnley.
Burnley have a good spell with Lowton getting forward a switch of play seeing Taylor burst past Werner and win a corner off James.
Burnley get the ball into the box after a short corner but Thiago Silva defends McNeil's delivery well and then wins a foul after Abraham gives the ball away in his own defensive third.

Mount switches play superbly again to James and his low cross is heading towards Werner but Long gets an important touch on the ball and the flag had been raised against Werner anyway.

Burnley make a change at half time as Jay Rodriguez comes on to replace Dale Stephens.
Burnley have started the second half in a much more attacking 4-2-3-1 with Barnes and Rodriguez to the sides of Wood and McNeil as a number 10.
Long goes into the book for Burnley as he chops down Werner from behind after good play by Havertz for Chelsea.
Mount takes the freekick and gets it on target and it's lacking some power from so far out and is saved easily by Pope.
Chelsea link well on the right with Ziyech and Havertz linking well and the latter's pass for Werner instead finds it's way to Mount, who draws a save out of Pope.
Burnley are much better in this half so far and a cross from Lowton forces a brave header clear from Thiago Silva with Barnes challenging him for the ball.
Burnley have had 51% of the ball in the second half so far having had less than 30% possession in the first half.
Havertz gives the ball away and Barnes shoots from 30 yards for Burnley and the shot goes just wide of the post with Mendy sprawling to his right.
Burnley do well to keep an attack alive after a freekick and Barnes finds Rodriguez to set up Tarkowski to fire over.
Chelsea finally have a good spell and Ziyech nearly gets around Taylor and wins a corner.
GOAL! ZOUMA! Chelsea finally get the second goal they needed as Zouma powers home Mount's corner. Burnley 0-2 Chelsea.
That goal has taken the sting out of Burnley's comeback as Chelsea now keep possession easily at the back.
Lowton knocks a long ball over the top for Burnley but Mendy reads it well and clears the ball cleanly.
Close! James gets forward and fires in a low cross but it's just too far ahead of Abraham.
Rodriguez strikes a shot from the edge of the box but Chelsea block it well, then Thiago Silva positions himself perfectly to head clear a cross.
GOAL! WERNER! Westwood gives the ball away to James, he finds Ziyech and the Moroccan slips in Werner to finish perfectly past Pope. Burnley 0-3 Chelsea.

James lashes over the bar left footed as a clearances falls to him after a nice Hudson-Odoi pass sets up Chilwell to cross.
Long clatters Abraham from behind and the centre back is lucky not to receive a second yellow card.
Chelsea make their second change as Giroud comes on for Abraham.
Disallowed goal! Werner finds Chilwell on the left and his low cross is turned home by Giroud but the striker was clearly offside.
Hudson-Odoi cuts down McNeil and Burnley have a freekick in a good area. Westwood delivers but it goes over everyone and out for a goal kick.
Chelsea attack, Mount counterpressed brilliantly when the ball is lost Kante finds Werner and Pope has to fall on a low cross for Burnley.
Chelsea make their final change as Jorginho replaces Havertz.
Mount takes a corner for Chelsea and Thiago Silva is free to head at goal but it's straight at Pope.
