G'Day and welcome to The Hawthorns for our live coverage of this Premier League clash between West Bromwich Albion and Manchester City.
Kick-off! We are underway here in the West Midlands.
A good start by West Bromwich and they secure an early throw. Zinchenko does well to clear for City.
Furlong sends a long floated pass into the box . Ajayi fires a shot but Ederson is in a good position.
GOAL, MANCHESTER CITY, GUNDOGAN! 0-1: And so it starts! Gundogan is into space and is played into a good position by Cancelo. He steadies himself before firing it low and into the corner. Great work!
Can West Bromwich steady themselves and prevent an early City onslaught?
City are certainly dominating position here. They have enjoyed 77% of the ball thus far.
City are making life difficult for West Brom by just knocking the ball around and holding onto possession aka Barcelona style.
Sterling is into a great space and fires his shot across the face of goal. City do not have anyone there to tap it in though.
Foden floats in a corner for City before Stones is penalised for using another player as support.
GOAL, MANCHESTER CITY, CANCELO! 0-2: At first the flag was up but VAR then awards the goal. Silva sends a through-ball to Cancelo, who finds the back of the net from close range.
West Brom will need to get a plan of action before they are four down before the break. That is possible.
City continue to look better and better. I cannot say the same of West Brom.
West Brom finally get hold of the ball and Robinson tries his luck with a long-range shot but it is a waste and well WIDE!
GOAL, MANCHESTER CITY, GUNDOGAN! 0-3: There it is and it's number two for Gundogan. City launch and attack down the right. Sawyers fails to clear his line and Gundogan steals it before he finishes it just like the missing De Bruyne would have.
This is looking very dangerous and Sam Allardyce will be keeping an eye on the clock hoping for the break to arrive ASAP.
West Brom had the first chance of the game and now find themselves 0-3 down. What a display by City!
BLOCK! Foden is into space and quick-steps his way around the West Brom penalty area before his shot is BLOCKED.
Snodgrass is down in need of attention.
Mahrez and Sterling combine well before Sterling messes up the final shot. West Brom will be happy with that.
We will have three minutes of time added on for stoppages.
HALF-TIME: WEST BROMWICH ALBION 0-4 MANCHESTER CITY. A vintage magic City display ensures a four goal advantage at the break. It could have been more. Can Allardyce and company come up with a plan to stop the rot?
GOAL, MANCHESTER CITY, MAHREZ! 0-4: What a finish by Mahrez in the far corner after a patient City build-up where Foden, Sterling and Cancelo all interchanged. Brilliant!
Kick-off! We are back underway in the second half.
A change for West Brom at the break. Bartley has replaced Robinson. They will play five at the back now.
Foden floats in a corner and after some initial chaos and panic in the West Brom penalty area Mahrez has his effort cleared by Bartley.
SUBSTITUTION: A double change for City now and Gundogan has been replaced by Laporte. Torres is also on for Foden.
Rodri tries his luck with a long-range effort. Johnstone is well beaten and it just touches the cross-bar! That was close!
GOAL, MANCHESTER CITY, STERLING! 0-5: He was dying to get in on the act and eventually he is involved. Rodri floats it in and Mahrez sets it up for Sterling to tap it in. Remarkable! Even Pep is applauding that goal.
SUBSTITUTION: Phillips is now on to replace Snodgrass for West Brom. Bernardo Silva has been replaced by Jesus for City.
Zinchenko drifts in another City corner. It is initially cleared but City come again.
SUBSTITUTION: Robson-Kanu has replaced Grant for West Brom.
Manchester City continue to hog the possession here. West Brom are just running around in circles.
Even if City give the ball away West Brom cannot even put two passes together at the moment. What is going on?
Good defending by Pereira for West Brom to prevent Mahrez from getting his shot in. It leads to a corner and that is also cleared.
Ederson finally gets some warm-up moves going as he is forced to make a rare clearance in the City goal. He must be cold!
West Brom have conceded a number of corners over the last 10 minutes. They have played better with that extra defender but we may still see a sixth City goal here.
Robson-Kanu has a good run for West Brom down the left in what is in theory a counter-attack. The cross into the middle is headed away by Laporte!
Rodri now tries to find a lone Sterling but unfortunately he overcooks his pass. West Brom take their time with the goal kick. No surprises there!
YELLOW: The first booking of the evening goes to Robson-Kanu after a cynical foul to break up a promising City move.
City have enjoyed 79% of the possession and they are not letting anything go.
Zinchenko tries to find Sterling with a neat pass but again there is just too much on it.
We will have two minutes off time added on for stoppages. West Brom secure two rare corners but fail to make them pay.
