Hello and welcome to today's live coverage of the Soweto derby as Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs face off in the MTN8 semi final. Kickoff is at 3pm at Orlando Stadium.
We are underway as Pirates kick us off!
Manyama looks for an early pass over the top for Billiat as Chiefs have an attack, but the offside flag is raised. That was a close call.
We have the first foul of the game as Hlatshwayo clatters Castro in an aerial challenge.
Cardoso gives the ball away cheaply for Chiefs but Blom gives away a clever foul on Lorch to stop the attack.
Close! Lorch finds space and looks for Pule's run behind the defence but the pass is overhit and Akpeyi can sweep up well.
Blom commits his second foul of the game as he catches Monare late. The youngster must be careful as a card could be coming on his next foul.
Pirates have a good attack as Motshwari makes a driving run and the ball ends up with Pule, who draws a comfortable save out of Akpeyi from 25 yards.
CHANCE! Zulu's ball beats Nyauza and Billiat runs onto it. The attacker cuts past the recovering defender again, then Hlatshwayo but the toe-poked shot hits the bar and bounces clear. That should have been 1-0 to Chiefs.
Now Pirates have an attack and Lorch nearly finds Dzvukamanja's run in the box but Akpeyi dives to smother to pass.
Billiat is fouled by Monare and when Manyama delivers the set-piece, it narrowly beats three open teammates in the box. That was close.
Lepasa catches Cardoso with a late challenge but the referee waves play on and Pirates nearly work a chance as Jooste and Pule link up but Blom does well to defend in the box and force Bucs backwards.
Maela looks for a long ball over the top for Pirates to Lepasa but the offside flag goes up. Ngezana looked to have the advantage in the sprint race anyway.
CHANCE! Blom makes a good tackle, Ngcobo releases Billiat behind Nyauza again and when the Zimbabwean finds Castro with a square pass, the Colombian puts a clear chance well wide of goal! That's a huge opening for Chiefs.
Lorch delivers a freekick but it hits Nyauza and goes harmlessly to Akpeyi in the Amakhosi goal.
Mphahlele swings in a cross from the right for Chiefs but it's straight into the arms of Ofori.
Zulu catches Lepasa and then Blom makes his 3rd foul to bring down Monare but the defensive midfielder avoids a yellow card.
CHANCE! Lorch delivers the freekick into a superb area and Nyauza hits an effort from close range straight at Akpeyi! The defender really should have finished that off.
GOAL! Lepasa! Dzvukamanja uses Maela's run as a decoy and instead crosses perfectly into the box for Lepasa to head home unchallenged. Zulu lost his man for Chiefs. Pirates 1-0 Chiefs.
Lepasa is caught by Philani Zulu and needs treatment. The referee books Zulu for that challenge.
Cardoso does well to make an interception on the halfway line but his pass over to Billiat on the left is overhit by about 30 metres.
Billiat finds space between the lines and is fouled by Hlatshwayo. The Pirates captain needs to be careful after two fouls this afternoon.
Now Billiat does very well to receive a long pass and hold off Hlatshwayo but after he switches play out to Manyama, the pass is poor by the latter.
Chiefs work a good attack down the left between Ngcobo and Zulu and the latter delivers a cross towards Castro which Hlatshwayo clears well.
Half chance! Motshwari finds Pule's expertly timed run and he sets up Lepasa to strike wide of goal.
Ngcobo wins the first corner of the game for Chiefs. Billiat delivers but Pirates defend well.
Billiat does brilliantly again as he bumps Jooste off the ball and blitzes Nyauza on the outside before being taken down. Somehow the defender avoids a yellow card.
Manyama delivers the freekick into the box and Ofori does well to punch clear but he catches Mphahlele on the follow through. The latter is fine though and does not need treatment.
Mphahlele takes a long throw for Chiefs, Castro flicks on against Hlatshwayo and Billiat strikes a volley at goal which Nyauza blocks from close range.
Mphahlele takes another long throw and Castro wins the flick on but Bucs get to the second ball this time.
Lorch receives a nice switch of play by Monare and tries to find Lepasa with a cross into the "corridor of uncertainty" but Akpeyi anticipates well.
CHANCE! Manyama delivers a superb freekick from the right and Ngezana is completely free on the small box line for a header but he nods wide! Gavin Hunt looks frustrated on the touchline.
The referee blows the half time whistle with Lepasa's 26th minute goal from Dzvukamanja's assist proving the difference. Both sides have had several other clear chances though. Pirates 1-0 Chiefs.
The fourth official indicates a minimum of two additional minutes to be played.
CHANCE! Jooste gets forward and finds Pule on the left and the Pirates winger tries to square for Lepasa in the box but just overhits his pass. That would have been a tap-in! Pirates could have gone in 2-0 up at the break there.
Close! Monare plays a nice ball over the top for Pule but Akpeyi does brilliantly to come out and clear the danger with a well timed challenge. That could have been red had he fouled Pule.
Kaizer Chiefs get us underway in the second half here.
Baccus catches Lorch with a late challenge and once again, the referee lets a possible yellow card challenge go unpunished.
Pirates break at speed as Pule hits a superb long pass for Lorch from left to right but Lorch's cross is too heavy for Lepasa who can only stretch to steer into it Akpeyi's arms from a narrow angle.
A third foul of the game is committed by Hlatshwayo on Castro and he must be getting close to a caution now.
Motshwari plays a pass for Lepasa in the left channel and the striker does great work against Ngezana and forces the defender to pull him back. Yellow card is issued for Ngezana.
Pule takes the freekick for Pirates but it goes over the crossbar.
Mphahlele receives in the right half space and plays a cross for Castro but Ofori comes out well to claim the ball in the air and diffuse the situation for Pirates.
Chiefs make a double change as Parker replaces Manyama and Mashiane comes on for Ngcobo. Hunt is clearly looking for more width from his side.
Parker makes a good first impact as he runs up the left flank onto Billiat's pass before looking for Castro in the box... but Hlatshwayo defends well.
Chiefs get the corner into the box as Billiat delivers deep for Blom and Ngezana gets the knock-down on target but Ofori snatches the shot out of the air.
Chiefs are mounting some pressure now but an attack breaks down as Mphahlele fouls Maela in an aerial duel.
Jooste fouls Mashiane on the wing and Chiefs have a freekick. Billiat delivers but Mphahlele can't direct his effort on target under pressure.
GOAL! PULE! Pirates have doubled their lead! Hlatshwayo hits a long pass, Lorch gets onto the ball on the left and Pule controls, beats Blom and fires across Akpeyi. Pirates 2-0 Chiefs.
Pirates work an excellent move involving Monare and Lepasa and it reaches Maela to cross into the box but Lorch can't get his shot on target as the ball bounces awkwardly.
Pirates attack down the left now as Zulu crosses into the box and Castro diverts a header on target but straight at Ofori.
Pirates make a double change as Hotto replaces Dzvukamanja and Ndlovu comes on for the impressive debutant, Monare.
Chiefs have another dangerous attack as Castro takes down Mashiane's cross and gets a shot away despite intense pressure but it deflects away for a corner.
Billiat gets a corner into the box, Cardoso knocks down and Zulu drills a shot which is blocked well by Hlatshwayo.
Pirates are looking solid now and inviting Chiefs to deliver lots of low percentage crosses into the box.
Chiefs make another double change as Lesako and Sifama come into the action with Baccus and Castro coming off.
Chiefs are now playing a 4-4-2 with Parker next to Blom in midfield and Sifama partnering Billiat up front.
GOAL! 3-0 to Pirates! Chiefs' corner is cleared and Pirates break at speed through Hotto, who finds Lorch to finish brilliantly despite the best attempts of Mashiane to hack him down. Pirates 3-0 Chiefs.
Chiefs move the ball well in attack but Jooste makes a good block when Zulu tries to deliver a cross from the left.
Pirates make a double change as Makaringe comes on for Lorch and Jele is brought on to replace Hlatshwayo.
CHANCE! Pirates nearly make it 4-0 as Lepasa runs onto a through ball but Akpeyi saves well from a narrow angle.
Hotto puts a corner into the box and Pirates nearly get on the end of it to really rub salt into Chiefs' wounds.
Pirates make their final change as Zungu comes on to replace Motshwari.
The referee, Eugene Mdluli blows the final whistle and Pirates have a 3-0 win thanks to goals from Lepasa in the 26th minute, Pule in the 67th and Lorch in the 81st minute. Thanks for joining us today.
