Manchester United have reached the quarter-final stages of a major European competition for the 27th time, progressing from 17 of the previous 26. They are winless in the first leg of each of their last three two-legged quarter final matches in Europe (D2 L1).
Manchester United have scored 21 goals in European competition this season, with 13 of them being scored by either Marcus Rashford (seven goals) or Bruno Fernandes (six goals).
This is Granada's maiden European campaign - they are the first side since RB Leipzig in 2017-18 to reach the quarter-finals of a major European competition in their first European campaign (UEFA Europa League), while the last side to reach the semi-finals in such a season was Villarreal in 2003-04 (UEFA Cup).

It has been a slow start to this match with both sides taking their time over goalkicks and lots of head tennis in the middle third.
Kenedy and Neva link up down the left for Granada and the latter crosses deep into the area Man Utd box but Shaw deals with the danger.
SHOT! Pogba receives a square pass and sees a chance to strike for goal from 25 yards out but Vallejo blocks well for the hosts.
YELLOW card for Pogba who is caught on the ball by Kenedy and takes down the Brazilian winger, who is on loan from Chelsea.
Kenedy is down after that challenge and is hobbling around after knock to the left ankle. Granada have sent some subs out to limber up.
Montoro floats a freekick into the area for Granada towards former Spurs reject Soldado but Fernandes heads away for a corner which comes to nothing.
United are struggling to make much headway against Granada's hard working shape. Solskjaer's team had around 60% of the ball at this stage.
Man Utd win a corner as James gets to the byline and has a cross blocked well. Fernandes delivers into the area but it's cleared well.
United are camped in Granada's half and Herrera body checks Fernandes to give away a freekick. Man Utd's star midfielder is full of complaints at his treatment tonight.
Rashford steps forward for the freekick and decides to try his luck for a good 35 yards out. He tries a Ronaldo style "knuckle ball" which sails wide.
Man Utd are up to 76% and the game's only four shots. They're dominant but haven't actually created anything of note.
Gonalons fouls Fernandes from behind but the referee misses it. The home side are getting stuck into challenges in midfield.
Herrera now charges McTominay in the back in a aerial challenge. He must be close to being booked for Granada.
CLOSE! Fernandes bursts into the box onto Rashford's pass and has a shot blocked and when the ball breaks to the latter, he curls a shot just wide of the far post.
Granada finally have their first shot of the match as a chipped ball forward finds Kenedy and he tries an ambitious volley which goes high and wide of De Gea's goal.
GOAL! MAN UTD! RASHFORD! 0-1. Lindelof launches a perfect 50 metre pass over the defence and Rashford takes it down perfectly and slides home the opener. Granada 0-1 Man Utd.
Granada launch a ball down the line for Soldado but Lindelof defends well. Man Utd go up the other end and James shows his pace to get to a pass and put in a nice cross which is cleared.
Granada are trying to get the ball forward quickly but Man Utd keep intercepting. Their passing accuracy so far is only 57% compared to United's 87%.
Granada finally have some possession and Diaz gets two crosses into the box but both deliveries fail to reach a teammate.
Pogba commits a foul. Granada takes a lobbed freekick and Herrera tries to volley into the area and the effort the post with De Gea caught out.
McTominay catches Puertas and is yellow carded. He will miss the second leg.
Rashford's goal tonight makes him the fourth Premier League player to reach 20 goals in all competitions this season after Harry Kane (29), Mo Salah (27) and Bruno Fernandes (23).
WIDE! A Granada corner comes into the box and finds Soldado unmarked at the back post. The veteran Spanish striker fires off a shot which goes wide of the post.
Shaw commits a foul on Puertas and is booked. He will also miss the second leg for Man Utd.
Fernandes clears a freekick and Granada win a corner. It is sent deep to the edge of the box and Kenedy shows good technique to strike his volley but it's straight at De Gea. Good pressure this from the home team.

Granada have started well in this half with Herrera getting a cross into the area which is cleared away for a corner.
SAVE! Granada get two corners into the box. Pogba clears the first one and the second sees Kenedy volley for goal but straight at De Gea.
Duarte is yellow carded for Granada for a foul on James.
Granada sub as Sanchez replaces Duarte, who got injured when fouling James.

Wasteful play for Granada. Herrera gets past Maguire but he can't find Soldado in the box.

Kenedy has another shot at hoal but straight at De Gea. He has tried to go for glory several times tonight.
United have kept seven clean sheets in their last 11 matches. If they can do the same tonight, they'll have a crucial lead for the second leg.
Herrera turns and strikes for goal but it flies wide of the target for Granada. That's their 7th shot and 3rd on target.
Maguire holds back Soldado and is carded and becomes the third Man Utd player who will miss the second leg along with Shaw and McTominay.

Telles puts in a lovely cross into the corridor of uncertainty but Cavani doesn't gamble and the cross goes across the face of goal.
James shows skill to backheel to find the run of Fernandes but Silva and Sanchez do well to stop him from point blank range. Replays show he was offside anyway.
Matic is yellow carded for Man Utd for a flailing arm.
