0'
Sundowns are formidable at the back and kept 17 PSL clean sheets last term. However, a 2-0 opening day win at Cape Town City was followed by a shock 1-0 home loss to TS Galaxy in midweek.

Hello and welcome to live coverage of the DSTV Premiership as Mamelodi Sundowns host Kaizer Chiefs at Loftus Stadium. Kickoff is at 3pm.
1'
In case you missed the news, Ashley Du Preez is absent for Amakhosi due to injury. Sundowns, meanwhile, unveiled Bongani Zungu as a new signing before kickoff.
1'
KICKOFF! We are underway in Tshwane for this big match.
2'
Maema is down with an early injury for Sundowns after knocking knees with Blom.
4'
Sundowns are probing now as Sirino finds Shalulile in the box. He tries to bustle his way through three opponents but the ball is eventually cleared from danger by Chiefs.
5'
It's been a very exciting start. Sirino gets behind Blom but Chiefs recover then Jali makes a fine tackle to start a run from Solomons.
6'
GOAL, MAMELODI SUNDOWNS, SIRINO! Terrible error from Kaizer Chiefs at the back... Ngezana underhits a back pass to Bvuma and Sirino nips in to finish past the goalkeeper. Mamelodi Sundowns 1-0 Kaizer Chiefs.
9'
SHOT! Sithebe receives a pass from Dolly. Sundowns drop off him so he takes the invitation to shoot but Williams is behind it and isn't unduly troubled.
13'
YELLOW! Sirino leaves his studs on Alexander and gets a deserved booking from referee Victor Gomes.
14'
The referee now warns Sundowns over how long they're taking over goalkicks.
15'
PENALTY! Maema gets the ball between the lines and finds Shalulile in the box. He tumbles under a tiny pull from Ngezana and referee Gomes points to the spot with relish.
16'
YELLOW: Kwinika is booked for that foul even though Ngezana committed the offence.
17'
GOAL, SUNDOWNS, SHALULILE! The Namibian steps up and sends Bvuma the wrong way from the penalty spot. Mamelodi Sundowns 2-0 Kaizer Chiefs.
19'
WIDE! Sundowns win a corner. Sirino delivers from the right and Brian Onyango heads wide under pressure. The latter is down and needs some treatment after a knock to the head.
22'
Sundowns are pressing well and win the ball in midfield. Sirino is sent racing away on a counter attack and gets fouled by Solomons in a good area.
23'
Sirino's freekick is headed clear by Blom. Corner to Downs... Sirino goes short but Chiefs defend the situation well.
24'
Now Mokoena needs a stretcher for Sundowns. He aggressively pressed Frosler and got caught by the Chiefs man, even though Amakhosi were handed the freekick.
26'
Sithebe wins the ball for Chiefs and drives at the Sundowns box. Jali fouls him at the second time of asking but avoids a caution, somewhat fortunately.
27'
Solomons delivers the resulting freekick but completely wastes it, sending it high over the bar.
29'
Now De Reuck commits a foul, bringing down Billiat. Chiefs take it short and Maart tries a shot from some 40 yards which sails high and wide. Chiefs' assistant coach Sheppard asks him what on earth he was thinking with that.
31'
CHANCE! Dolly plays a sublime pass from wide to Billiat, who cushions it back for Alexander. He strikes but can only find the side netting.
33'
Maart now tries a Hollywood pass for Chiefs but completely overhits it and it goes out for a goalkick.
34'
Now Maema gets a pass all wrong and it runs away from his teammates. Rulani Mokwena is not happy at all with his player.
36'
This left side for Chiefs is proving a weak point. Mokoena slides a ball behind Blom for Sirino but he can't get it under control.
37'
CLOSE! We see Billiat for the first time really. He gets away down the left and pulls a low cross back for Maart, who strikes over the bar with his left foot. That's a decent half-chance for Chiefs.
40'
Chiefs are having a lot of the ball now but they aren't doing much with it, due to Downs' aggressive closing down in midfield.
43'
Mudau delivers a cross from the right which Kwinika puts behind. Sirino delivers and Onyango meets it first once again but diverts it wide.
44'
YELLOW! Solomons is too fast for De Reuck and beats him to the ball. The referee correctly issues a yellow for that foul.
45'
HALF TIME. Two errors from Amakhosi led to two goals for Masandawana. Sirino and Shalulile's penalty were the goalscorers. Join us in 15 minutes for the second half. Mamelodi Sundowns 2-0 Kaizer Chiefs.
45'
+1' Billiat delivers the resulting freekick for Kaizer Chiefs but Ngezana can only head wide from an awkward delivery.
45'
Added time: one minute.
46'
SUBS for Chiefs at half-time: Sekgota for Alexander and Njabulo Ngcobo on for Ngezana.
46'
KICKOFF! The second half is underway.
48'
A good start to the half for Chiefs. The crowd roars as Sekgota tries to take on Mudau down the left but the fullback defends superbly.
49'
Plenty of early defending to do Sundowns. De Reuck heads a Sekgota cross clear and Chiefs are regaining the ball a lot higher off Downs.
50'
CHANCE! Chiefs should pull one back. Sekgota's cross reaches Solomons at the back post, his cross reaches Frosler but he strikes wildly from 10 yards out and the clear opportunity is spurned!
53'
GOAL, SUNDOWNS, SHALULILE! What a lovely team goal. Mokoena breaks lines and finds Shalulile. The forward moves the ball to Maema on the left who uses Modiba's run as a decoy. He finds Zwane to turn in the box and tee up Shalulile to finish. Mamelodi Sundowns 3-0 Kaizer Chiefs.
55'
PENALTY! Victor Gomes points to the spot again but this time for Chiefs. A long ball forward is flicked by Billiat to Sekgota who goes down under Mokoena's touch. That looks a very harsh decision.
56'
SAVED! Billiat steps up to take the penalty but Williams goes the right way and saves the penalty and then the rebound from Billiat too. Top goalkeeping.
58'
That miss hasn't deterred Chiefs who are continuing to attack. Sekgota wins a corner on the left but Billiat's delivery is cleared.
59'
CLOSE! Sundowns go long for the run of Shalulile. He takes a superb first touch but N. Ngcobo does enough to clear it.
60'
SUBS, Sundowns: Nasir replaces Sirino and Lakay comes on for Maema.
61'
That change has seen Modiba move forward into midfield, perhaps to track Solomons' runs from right back.
63'
Jali is down and holding his quad. He looks in a lot of pain.
66'
SUB, Sundowns: Jali is stretchered off so Mkhulise is introduced.
68'
Downs are now in "game management" mode and are keeping the ball for fun in midfield with quick touches. When Chiefs have the ball, Downs are defending deep now and happy to absorb pressure.
70'
Sekgota really isn't getting any change out of Mudau who is defending superbly in one-versus-one actions. On current form, there is surely no better right back in the country.
72'
SUB, Chiefs: Nkosingiphile Ngcobo replaces Sithebe.
73'
CHANCE! Downs win the ball in their own half and Zwane releases Nasir. He moves the ball onto Shalulile down the right but his touch is a bit heavy and Kwinika can comes across to block the shot.
75'
Sundowns are now playing with Shalulile now the right flank and Nasir alone up front. Another cheap Chiefs giveaway leads to a Downs counter through the evergreen Zwane but Amakhosi get back quickly.
76'
GOAL, SUNDOWNS, NASIR! The new Ethiopian striker scores his first goal and it's pure class. Lakay sends Nasir away down the left, he shows Njabulo Ngcobo a clean set of heels, then cuts inside, chops past the same player and fires into the bottom corner. Mamelodi Sundowns 4-0 Kaizer Chiefs.
78'
SUB, Chiefs: Dolly off, Radebe on.
79'
SUBS, Sundowns: Morena on for Modiba and the superb Zwane off for Kapinga.
82'
CHANCE! Sundowns break, it gets cleared and Nk. Ngcobo takes a long touch before sliding Sekgota a nice pass. The winger toe pokes well wide of the goal as he lacks some composure.
84'
CLOSE! Nearly a fifth for Sundowns. Nasir finds Shalulile to bustle his way into the Chiefs box but Bvuma is quick off his line and gets plenty of the ball as he dives at Shalulile's feet.
84'
Sekgota slings in a hopeful cross for Amakhosi despite his side playing with Billiat as a false nine. Lakay chests it down to his goalkeeper Williams for Sundowns.
86'
Mokoena is going off for Sundowns for some treatment. All five subs have been made so he may need to play through the pain.
89'
A Chiefs corner is cleared and Nasir can lead a counter. He tries to take on his man and loses the ball when Morena was in support. But make no mistake, this Nasir looks like a very smart signing for Downs.
90'
FULL TIME. A thrashing for Chiefs on the day. Sundowns fed off two Amakhosi errors in the first half before Billiat had a penalty saved at 3-0 down before sub Nasir made it 4-0. Thanks for joining us. Mamelodi Sundowns 4-0 Kaizer Chiefs.
