Cape Town - Red Bull team principal Christian Horner believes Ferrari set the standard for the Monaco Grand Prix this weekend.

The Scuderia have not won in Monte Carlo since 2001, but Horner reckons that Sebastian Vettel has already shown enough in FP1 and FP2 to be favourite for the race win come Sunday.

"Ferrari looks the car to beat around here. It’s very driveable and it looks relatively easy to set up and you can see Sebastian’s in that zone where he’s got a huge amount of confidence," Horner told Sky F1.

"For me he would be the favourite but if we could sneak a position on the front row or just behind that then anything is a possibility.

“I think [our sweetspot] is pretty narrow. These tyres are particularly sensitive and if you find that window you can unlock quite a lot of potential.

"Ferrari have done the best job in understanding that so far this season and have designed a car that appears to accommodate that quite well. We are getting better – we made progress in Barcelona and are refining that this weekend – but for me Ferrari looks the main contender particularly at this track."
