Cape Town - It seems like SASCOC’s 'bad' apparel choices at the Rio Olympics has moved over to luggage.
South African supporters aren’t too happy over the bags that SA's two male golfers, Jaco van Zyl and Brandon Stone, sported on Thursday, when golf teed off for the first time in 112 years at the Olympic Games.
Corrie Tying was one of the first supporters to slam the golfing bag, commenting: “And SA's golf bags. REALLY? Not even a player name. Is this a joke?”
Soon after South African Olympic gold medallist Roland Schoeman took to Twitter and said the team’s golfing bags are "awful".
Schoeman, a three-time medal winner at the Olympics, added that one of the amazing things about partaking in an Olympiad is the amazing kit and that he was excited by what he received when he participated in the 2004 Athens Games.
Others agreed with the former Olympic swimmer saying it’s “disgraceful” and one even said that the bag is something you’d give your kids.
Here's what some South Africans had to say about the no-name golfing bags:
SA Golf bags finally arrived in time for the am start today. What do you'll think? I think they're the awful? pic.twitter.com/AWZfePVxg8— Roland Schoeman (@Rolandschoeman) August 11, 2016

This comes after South Africans were embarrassed by our team’s opening ceremony apparel, where they donned tracksuits as opposed to other countries who wore blazers or traditional clothing.
It seemed like the South African team were the only ones wearing casual wear to the Rio opening ceremony and apparently there is a reason why.
According to sports journalist Graeme Joffe, South Africa were supposed to wear another tracksuit inspired outfit (see below) for the opening ceremony, but declined to wear it and opted for their green and gold oversized tracksuits instead.
TeamSA was given this to wear at opening ceremony. No wonder they switched to tracksuits. Feel for the athletes! pic.twitter.com/oG6ezPdaed— Graeme Joffe (@Joffersmyboy) August 6, 2016
