When it comes to the Commonwealth Games, lawn bowls is one of South Africa's most successful sports.  

South Africa has never failed to reach the podium in lawn bowls at the "Friendly Games" since readmission - winning more than two medals at every Commonwealth tournament.

One of those involved in that medal tally is four-time Commonwealth Games medallist Colleen Piketh.
