Radio jockey Lucky du Plessis shared his rugby experiences in an interview with Sport24, including realising that his skin colour might have been the reason he made the Golden Lions Under-16 side.

This week, Du Plessis "trended" after posting an emotional Twitter thread, detailing how a chance meeting with Charl at Florida Primary School led to the latter's family adopting him and setting off a series of events that changed his life for the better.

Florida being a rugby mad school and Charl a rugby nut, Du Plessis took up the sport too.
