From winning the world surfski title in 2014, to collecting three flatwater marathon titles between 2014 and 2017, Jasper Mocke has travelled the world and done almost everything one can do in the world of surfski.

However, with unfortunate timing and preferred racing styles, the four-day 250km PE2EL from 1 to 4 December always evaded him, until just recently.

"It's such a unique event, in terms of preparation and how it absolutely nails you. I've never been able to do it because at this time, I was always racing Australia," Mocke told Sport24.
