Springbok flank Marcell Coetzee bagged three awards at his Irish club Ulster's virtual awards ceremony on Tuesday evening.
The 29-year-old’s stellar efforts in the 2019-20 season - during which he made 506 run metres, 273 carries, 199 tackles and 19 turnovers in 28 appearances - were acknowledged by the club,
Coetzee was named the Ulster Rugby Personality of the Year, the Rugby Writers' Player of the Year and the Ulster Supporters' Club Player of the Year.
He did, however, narrowly miss out on the Player of the Year award, which went to scrumhalf John Cooney.
Coetzee, who boasts 30 Test caps for the Boks, joined Ulster in 2016 after starting his professional career at the Sharks in Durban.
