Depending on who you ask, "2022" is either a magical or mythical phrase when it comes to the Springboks' series against the British & Irish Lions.

From a South African perspective, postponing the hyped tour to next year would represent a nirvana of sorts.

While the Covid-19 pandemic continues to illustrate that there are simply no guarantees, granting SA Rugby another 15 or so months that represents the best opportunity - theoretically - to host the tour on local shores.
