Whether it renders them Currie Cup heavyweights is another debate, but there's no denying that the Lions have been ever-present when it comes to the hallowed tournament's shake-up at the end of each campaign.

Ivan van Rooyen's troops have been remarkably consistent since their title triumph in 2015, reaching the playoffs for five consecutive years.

However, of those six appearances, they've only won once, suggesting they are a bit plagued by a curse of sorts when it comes to these matches.
