Springbok scrumhalf Francois Hougaard is reportedly set to rejoin the Bulls.

Hougaard, 32, has plied his trade for English club Worcester Warriors since 2016, having been on the Bulls' books between 2008 and 2015.

Afrikaans newspaper Rapport indicated on Sunday that Hougaard will in all likelihood join the Bulls in July.

He will fill the void left at scrumhalf by Ivan van Zyl, who will head for English club Saracens in July.

The versatile Hougaard, who is equally adept on the wing, played 46 Tests for the Boks between 2009 and 2017.

Meanwhile the report added that Bok flyhalf Johan Goosen, who has been linked with a possible move to the Bulls for some time, will also put pen to paper at Loftus Versfeld.

There were talks that Montpellier-based Goosen could consider instead returning to South Africa to play for the Cheetahs, but that no longer appears to be the case.

Pretoria is now his expected next destination and he could complete the move once his contract with the French club ends in June.

The 28-year-old played 13 Tests for the Boks between 2012 and 2016.
