Pienaar leads Cheetahs in their Currie Cup opener against Griquas

Cheetahs coach Hawies Fourie has named his team for their opening Currie Cup clash against Griquas in Kimberley on Saturday.

The Cheetahs, who enjoyed a bye in the first round, will be captained by veteran scrumhalf Ruan Pienaar.

Griquas opened their campaign with a 30-16 home loss to the Sharks last weekend.

Saturday's clash kicks off at 13:00, with AJ Jacobs the referee and Cwengile Jadezweni the television match official (TMO).
