Sharks scrumhalf Sanele Nohamba is "fine" after being on the receiving end of a monstrous tackle from Western Province wing Angelo Davids on Saturday.
The Sharks won the match 19-9 to book their place in next weekend's Currie Cup final against the Bulls at Loftus.
The incident in question happened towards the end of the first half at Newlands when Nohamba jumped to receive a pass above his head from Sikhumbuzo Notshe.
Davids, though, read the play and smashed into Nohamba, who was left in agony on the turf, while some on social media felt that tackle should have penalised.
To his credit, Nohamba was back on his feet soon enough and completed the half.
He did not return for the second period, though, prompting concerns that he had been seriously injured.
Speaking after the match, however, Sharks boss Sean Everitt confirmed that Nohamba was "fine".
"Nohamba didn't get injured in that hit, although it did look quite bad," Everitt said.
"We'll have another look at that incident but at the end of the day we felt that Jaden (Hendrikse) would offer us a little more.
"Sanele hasn't played for a long time, so we didn't want to push him.
"He's fine."
