Sharks shareholders leapt at US takeover, Brian van Zyl reveals

Joint Sharks shareholders the KwaZulu-Natal Rugby Union (KZNRU) and SuperSport leapt at the takeover offer presented by MVM Holdings, union president Brian van Zyl has revealed.

The Sharks confirmed on Thursday a deal involving South African-born Marco Masotti’s US consortium taking majority ownership of the Sharks franchise, with the union (26%) and SuperSport (23%) retaining minority ownership.
