Some 10 years onward, it remains difficult to forget Springbok hard man Bakkies Botha - bless his cotton socks - very crudely, openly butting All Black scrumhalf Jimmy Cowan on the back of the head, with the 2010 Tri-Nations Test in Auckland in its infancy.
Not even 30 seconds had elapsed when, chasing a loose ball against the New Zealand No 9 and Botha being held back a little as they ran side by side against each other, the easily-angered lock rammed his own head, with not a hint of subtlety, into the back of his opponent's after he'd tackled him.
Remarkably, the incident was somehow missed by the match officials, but Botha later copped a nine-week ban.
