Former Junior Springbok Lloyd Greeff is on his way to America where we will try out for a number of NFL teams.
According to the Rugby Pass website, the 27-year-old will be arriving in California next month.
Greeff will be attending a trial event in California on 23 May that will be attended by 27 NFL general managers who will be looking for talent for their 2021 season rosters.
The report adds that Greeff has been working closely with World Wide Scholarships (WWS) and Jim Ulrich from Enter Sports Management, attempting to make the transition.
A player who can operate on the wing and centre, Greeff will be trying out as a placekicker.
At training, he has reportedly been converting 75-yard field goals (68.5m), the Rugby Pass report says.
The longest field goal in NFL history is 64 yards.
Greeff, who has played for the Cheetahs and Zebre, represented the South Africa under-20 side at the 2014 Junior World Cup.
