Some 11 years onward, Francois Louw retains agreeably vivid memories of his first Test match on South African terrain.

Just a week on from his Springbok debut - a nail-biting 34-31 win - against Wales at the Millennium Stadium in a rare summer fixture there, the Western Cape product and Stormers/WP flanker fittingly had Newlands as venue for the milestone.

He didn't disappoint, either, on that 12 June 2010, with Cape Town awash with a tangible sporting buzz, given the already on-the-go soccer World Cup in the country.
