The Lions have picked a young side to tackle the EP Elephants at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

The team shows several changes to the one which beat the Pumas 32-28 In Johannesburg in their preparation series opener.

The team is brimming with players who caught the eye during the national Under-21 tournament which was held at Ellis Park last year and coaches Mzwikhe Nkosi and Wessel Roux have full confidence in their charges.

"The changes are therefore not due to any players being demoted, but rather another opportunity to scrutinise and test everyone," the Lions said in a statement.

Kick-off is at 16:45 on Wednesday.
