We are nearing kick off in what promises to be a good open game of rugby. The Rebels are favourites to solidify their place at the top of the Australian conference but the Sunwolves are more than capable of causing some problems.
The Sunwolves come into this game high on confidence after getting a win last week on Waratahs soil. This has been the Sunwolves best season thus far but with only two wins, they will want to cause another upset against a very impressive Rebels side.

Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the Super Rugby clash between the Melbourne Rebels and Sunwolves at the AMMI stadium.
KICK OFF! We are underway at the AMMI stadium. The Sunwolves start us off and play from left to right.
Rebels win an offside penalty and set up a lineout 10 metres from the Sunwolves line.
Another penalty to the Rebels right beneath the posts but they opt for the scrum.
TRY! REBELS! HODGE! 5-0. After a few phases on the Sunwolves try-line, Genia finds Hodge with a short pass close to the ruck and the fullback goes over next to the uprights.
CONVERSION! REBELS! COOPER! 7-0. Cooper slots and easy conversion.
The Sunwolves have the Rebels pinned in their 22 as the visitors look to hit back immediately.
PENALTY! SUNWOLVES! PARKER! 7-3. After having a few goes at the Rebels line, the Sunwolves decide to take the 3 points on offer.
TRY! REBELS! HODGE! 12-3. Hodge is over for his second. A centre field scrum on the halfway line and the Rebels attack down the left. English makes a good line break before passing to Hodge who goes over untouched.
CONVERSION! REBELS! COOPER! 14-3. Cooper converts from about 10 metres in from touch.
What a tackle! The Rebels attack inside the Sunwolves 22 but a turnover and a kick ahead has Tatekawa looking to score for all money but a great ankle-tap spoils the party. Rebels got away with it there.
Both teams looking to run the ball but a few errors have found its way into the game recently, mostly from the Sunwolves who had the Rebels on the ropes for a few minutes.
TRY! REBELS! MEAKES! 19-3. A horrible mix-up at the back allows the Meakes to score. Cooper kicks the grubber through but Shigeno has it covered, however, he pops it up to Yamanaka who can't hold on and Meakes dives over.
CONVERSION! REBELS! COOPER! 21-3. Cooper adds the extras from in front.
Masirewa goes over for the Sunwolves but there is no clear evidence of the grounding so they go back to a penalty. Sunwolves choose a centre field scrum, 5 metres from the Rebels try-line.
TRY! SUNWOLVES! MASIREWA! 21-8. Masirewa doesn't have to take long for his try. The ball goes wide from the scrum and although it looks like Maddocks has it covered, Masirewa somehow beats him and the touchline to go over in the corner.
Parker narrowly missed the conversion, his first missed kick of the season. Before now he had kicked 28 from 28.
Sunwolves are shooting themselves in the foot. They lose another lineout inside the Rebels 22. A total of 4 lineouts lost so far for them.
TRY! REBELS! COOPER! 26-8. The Rebels will end the half on a high as Cooper goes over under the posts. Another scrum on the halfway line and Hodge gets put into space, but he just doesn't have the pace, so offloads to Cooper.
HALF TIME! 28-8. The Rebels have had a very good half and lead by 20. On the other side, the Sunwolves have not been too poor, but they have coughed up set piece possession on attack too many times.
CONVERSION! REBELS! COOPER! 28-8. Simple extra two points for Cooper.
KICK OFF! 28-8. Cooper gets the second half underway. It's a long way back for the Sunwolves but they did prove that they can chase a game last week - can they repeat the feat?
TRY! SUNWOLVES! MASIREWA! 28-13. A great start to the second half for the visitors as Masirewa breaks a couple of tackles out wide before diving over.
CONVERSION! SUNWOLVES! PARKER! 28-15. Parker adds the extra 2.
Masirewa has now scored 5 tries in his last two games.
Sunwolves on attack just outside the 22 of the the Rebels but then the visitors get penalised for clearing out beyond the ball. Rebels look to be tiring a bit as Sunwolves push to get back into the game.
Sunwolves win another penalty halfway between the Rebels 22 and 10m line. They go for touch.
Sunwolves are over the line but it is held up. 5m scrum.
Great defence by the hosts at they take the Sunwolves out in the corner and then wins their own lineout before clearing to the 22.
Silly errors are costing the Sunwolves. On a few occasions in the second half they have looked good but little knock-ons and lineout losses are allowing the Rebels to get away.
TRY! REBELS! HODGE! 33-15. Hodge is in for a hat trick! He charges a kick down first and then follows up to dot it down.
CONVERSION! REBELS! COOPER! 35-15. Cooper makes it a 20 point game again.
TRY! REBELS! GENIA! 40-15. Brilliant move at the back of the lineout and Genia, who receives and inside pass, runs 40 metres to dot down under the posts.
CONVERSION! REBELS! COOPER! 42-15. Cooper adds the extra 2.
The Sunwolves have an attacking scrum. They will want to end the game on a high but since their early second half dominance, the Rebels have shifted up a gear.
YELLOW CARD! Tupou goes to the bin for 10 minutes so that is his game done for the night.
YELLOW CARD! Vella goes to the bin for a shoulder charge in the ruck.
FULL TIME! 42-15. The Rebels have comfortably run out as winners here in Melbourne. It was one of the poorer games for the Sunwolves as their lineout didn't function which never allowed them to take advantage of the 17 penalties they received. Impressive from the Rebels though.
