We are moments away from kick off as the players come out for the national anthems.
0'
Samoa have only beaten Ireland once in nine matches and that came more than 20 years ago in 1996. Going by Samoa's performances at the World Cup it is extremely unlikely that they will get their second win today.
0'
Ireland are at full-strength as they look to build momentum into the playoffs while Samoa are playing for pride alone. It is their final match so expect a very committed performance from them.
0'
Ireland have yet to confirm their place in the quarter final but a positive result today will secure their spot.

Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the of the 2019 Rugby World Cup Pool A clash between Ireland and Samoa from the Fukuoka Hakatanomori Stadium
1'
KICK OFF! 0-0. Australia's Nic Berry's whistle sounds into the Fukuoka night sky and Nanai-Williams sends his kick short. Ireland collect and take the ball into contact.
2'
A mini kicking battle ensues until Nanai-Williams finds touch on his own 10m line.
3'
Early penalty to Ireland as Samoa enter the maul from the side. Sexton goes to the line and Ireland have a line-out inside Samoa's 22.
4'
TRY! IRELAND! BEST! 5-0. As simple as you like. Maul is set up and Samoa hardly offer any resistance as Best goes over for an easy try. The TMO did have a look but it is all good.
5'
CONVERSION! SEXTON! 7-0. Sexton converts from the right-hand touchline.
6'
YELLOW CARD! S. Lam is yellow carded a high tackle. The ball carrier dipped significantly and Lam was in position to tackle around the hips.
9'
TRY! IRELAND! FURLONG! 12-0. Another driving maul gives Ireland go-forward ball. Murray keeps it close as the forwards take it through a few phases before Furlong comes at pace and busts through three players to dot down.
11'
CONVERSION! SEXTON! 14-0. Another good conversion from a tough angle. Ireland are on it today.
14'
Another penalty to Ireland on the halfway line but Sexton fails to find touch. Poor error by the flyhalf. Samoa's discipline is letting them down although the yellow card was incredibly harsh.
16'
Samoa now in the Irish 22 after winning a scrum penalty but they lose their line out and Murray can clear.
19'
Samoa have no answer to Ireland's strong defence. All they can revert to is kicking which is giving possession straight back to Ireland.
21'
TRY! IRELAND! SEXTON! 19-0. Ireland are flying here. They go through a number of phases just inside Samoa's half before Van der Flier finds space and occupies two defenders. His inside pass finds Sexton who runs in beneath the posts.
23'
CONVERSION! SEXTON! 21-0. Sexton converts easily to extend the lead.
25'
Le'aupepe picks up a lose ball and cracks on beautifully before he is brought down just outside Ireland's 22. Henshaw then gives away a penalty and Samoa go for the corner.
26'
TRY! SAMOA! J. LAM! 21-5. The maul is set and it gets some momentum before going down. Captain Lam then carries strongly and just gets the ball down.
27'
The conversion attempt is pulled horribly to the right.
29'
RED CARD! Bundee Aki has been sent off for a high tackle. Again, it was dangerous but hardly deserving of a red.
33'
Game is going through a very scrappy phase with a lot of scrums. Can't help but feel these cards being handed out will destroy the game.
37'
Ireland go back to the maul and make good yards into Samoa's 22. Henshaw goes close after a few phases but eventually Berry calls it as a 5m scrum to Ireland.
39'
TRY! IRELAND! SEXTON! 26-0. Sexton goes over for his second. From the 5m scrum he takes the ball flat, steps and crashes over.
40'
Sexton narrowly misses from the touchline but goes into the break with 16 points to his name.
41'
KICK OFF! 26-5. Sexton gets the second half underway as Ireland hold a massive lead. They are a man down after Aki's red card.
43'
Another penalty to Ireland inside Samoa's half and Sexton sets up the line-up deep inside Samoa's 22.
45'
Furlong goes over but it is called to be held up. Going to the TMO to check but it is confirmed. 5m scrum for Ireland.
49'
TRY! IRELAND! LARMOUR! 31-5. A quick tap on Samoa's 5m line allows Ireland to get close. Under advantage Murray throws a bullet flat pass to the touchline where Larmour comes at full speed and goes over.
50'
CONVERSION! SEXTON! 33-5. Another superb kick by Sexton as he converts from right-hand touch.
54'
Samoa are physically completely dominating Samoa. The men in blue cannot hold onto the ball. Ireland back in Samoa's 22 and under advantage.
57'
Samoa are now officially under a warning. Ireland have a line-out on Samoa's 5m line. Can they score again?
59'
YELLOW CARD for Ioane. This time for repeated infringements. Ireland on attack inside Samoa's 22.
60'
Superb defence by Samoa as they create a maul and Ireland can't get the ball out. Samoa scrum.
61'
Ireland annihilate the Samoans and win a penalty. Ireland are back within five meters of the Samoan line.
64'
Ireland have a scrum on Samoa's 5m line but it keeps going down. Fourth reset now.
66'
TRY! IRELAND! STANDER! 38-5. Nothing pretty about this as Ireland burrow with the forwards for phase after phase and eventually Stander scores.
67'
CONVERSION! CARBERY! 40-5. Carbery gets his name on the score-sheet after replacing Sexton.
70'
TRY! IRELAND! CONWAY! 45-5. Carbery with a grubber through and Conway has far too much pace for the retreating Samoans. The dives on the ball to score.
71'
CONVERSION! CARBERY! 47-5. Carbery adds the extras as Ireland pull 42 points clear.
75'
Samoa are on attack as they look to end their campaign with a bang.
76'
Samoa are over and score but the TMO has ruled it out. Penalty for Ireland as Samoa played the ball on the ground.
79'
Samoa attack again and have a huge overlap but there is a forward pass. The crowd are doing their utmost to get the Pacific Islanders over the line.
80'
FULL TIME! 47-5. It's all over and Ireland are comfortable winners. They move to the top of Pool A. Samoa were hardly competitive in this match even after Ireland went down to 14 men with the red card of Aki. The Irish will be confident going into their quarter final against either South Africa or New Zealand.
