The Reds lose possession from an attacking lineout. Shortly thereafter, the Crusaders get the penalty against Mafi and boot the ball upfield.

Not everything has gone according to plan for the Crusaders in this game, but their defence has been impeccable since a difficult spell in the first half.

Hegarty's pass to Speight was instrumental in the creation of that try, but the former has missed the conversion. The score remains 24-20.
The Reds counter again with Tupou initiating it. However, a tackle from Drummond on McReight saves the Crusaders' skins.
Zander is penalised at the scrum as the clock continues to tick in Christchurch.

FULL-TIME: CRUSADERS 24-20 REDS: Reece rips the ball from Campbell's grasp and goes over, but it is disallowed for a knock-on. In any case, the Crusaders get the win, while the Reds have to settle for a bonus point.
