Waratahs coach Rob Penney was forced into two late changes, with Tom Robertson failing a late fitness test on his back and Robbie Abel out with illness (not the coronavirus). Andrew Tuala and Rory O'Connor come onto the bench. Captain Rob Simmons (ankle) and winger Mark Nawaqanitawase (back) return from injury, while Damien Fitzpatrick starts at hooker.
James Slipper, Joe Powell, and Andy Muirhead return to the starting XV for the Brumbies. Connal McInerney starts at hooker again in the absence of the injured Folau Fainga'a. Noah Lolesio partners Powell, with Ryan Lonergan on the bench.
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of this Australian Super Rugby derby between the Brumbies and the Waratahs at the GIO Stadium in Canberra.
KICK-OFF! Underway in Brisbane. This will be the last Super Rugby match for some time, as the tournament will be postponed after this due to the coronavirus.
The Waratahs look to launch an attack off a scrum, but a knock-on from Mitch Short at the back, as adjudged by ref Rasta Rashivenge, brings that to an end.
The Waratahs are doing lots of attacking at the moment, but the Brumbies are holding firm.
The Waratahs are penalised for not rolling away following the tackle. The Brumbies use the opportunity to escape their own half, putting the ball out of play inside Waratahs territory.
The Brumbies aim a grubber in behind the defence, but Beale is alert to the danger and tidies up for the Waratahs.
TRY, WARATAHS, SIMMONS! 0-5: The Waratahs hit the Brumbies on the counter, but Powell intercepts near the edge of the 22. However, the Brumbies then promptly lose possession and the Tahs come again. Dempsey gives the ball to Newsome, who offloads inside to Simmons, who finishes off!
CONVERSION, WARATAHS, HARRISON! 0-7: Harrison adds the extras.
The Brumbies have responded well with a good spell of pressure. After multiple phases, they win the penalty and set up the attacking lineout.
TRY, BRUMBIES, KATA! 5-7: The rolling maul is good, but comes up just short of the line. Kata finishes the job for the Brumbies!
CONVERSION, BRUMBIES, LOLESIO! 7-7: No mistake from the conversion as Lolesio levels the scores in Canberra.
TRY, WARATAHS, NAWAQANITAWASE! 7-12: The youngster has scored in the corner after all!
The Waratahs come again and they might just have got the ball down in the corner through Nawaqanitawase. On-field decision is no try.
CONVERSION, WARATAHS, HARRISON! 7-14: No mistake from Harrison off the conversion.
TRY, BRUMBIES, KATA! 12-14: The Brumbies work the ball out wide to Kata. It looked like a forward pass from Lolesio in the build-up, but that's not been spotted. Kata takes full advantage, scoring his second try!
CONVERSION, BRUMBIES, LOLESIO! 14-14: Another good kick from Lolesio as he brings the scores to 14-apiece.
The Brumbies are going through the phases on attack. They win the penalty for an infringement from Bell at the ruck.
The Brumbies continue to build through the phases following a lineout. They're inside the Waratahs 22.
TRY, BRUMBIES, NEVILLE! 19-14: At long last, Neville forces his way over after Muirhead was brought down just short. The Brumbies hit the front for the first time!
CONVERSION, BRUMBIES, LOLESIO! 21-14: Lolesio slots the conversion over again to extend the lead to seven points.
The Waratahs build up gradually on attack as they take the ball near the Brumbies' 22.
Back underway in Canberra as Harrison kicks off the second half for the Waratahs.
HALF-TIME: BRUMBIES 21-14 WARATAHS. The Brumbies survive the late spell of pressure and go into the break ahead. It's been a closely fought game between first (Brumbies) and fourth (Waratahs) in the Aussie conference.
The Brumbies apply the early pressure, but a clearing kick into touch from the Waratahs relieves some of that.
TRY, BRUMBIES, POWELL! 26-14: The Brumbies surge forward following the ensuing lineout around the Tahs 10m line. Powell finishes off for the hosts, with Beale unable to catch him!
CONVERSION, BRUMBIES, LOLESIO! 28-14: Lolesio adds the extras. Meanwhile, Beale has limped off the field, having seemingly hurt his hamstring trying to stop Powell.
The Waratahs will look to launch an attack off a scrum inside Brumbies territory.
The Waratahs win their scrum, but after they make their way into the Brumbies 22, they concede the turnover. Good work on defence from the hosts.
The Brumbies get a penalty for a no-arms tackle and a chance to set up an attacking lineout. They duly oblige, putting the ball out just outside the 22.
YELLOW CARD, WARATAHS, DEMPSEY! After giving the Waratahs a warning, Rashivenge loses patience with Dempsey and sends him to the sin-bin for 10 minutes.
The Brumbies get the chance to set up another attacking lineout, this one on the 5m line. They win it and get yet another advantage, then a penalty for an infringement at the maul from Hooper.
TRY, BRUMBIES, WRIGHT! 33-14: The Brumbies make the most of their numerical advantage, moving the ball to Wright out wide. He dots the ball down in the corner and the Brumbies are in bonus point territory.
Lolesio misses the conversion for the first time today. The score remains 33-14.
The Waratahs enjoy a spell on the attack. They look to get the ball down for the try after multiple phases and lose control, but they nevertheless have the penalty.
The Waratahs set up the lineout and win another penalty for collapsing the maul. They set up yet another lineout, which they win.
The Waratahs maintain the pressure and the Brumbies give away another penalty. Neville is the guilty party and Rashivenge warns the Brumbies about their discipline.
YELLOW CARD, BRUMBIES, SWAIN! As promised, Rashivenge hands Swain 10 minutes in the sin-bin.
The Waratahs go for the kick in behind, but they're unable to win the race to the ball. Lonergan is there to tidy up for the Brumbies. The hosts' defence has been impressive.
TRY, BRUMBIES, WRIGHT! 38-14: Maddocks' offload is intercepted by Wright, who goes all the way for the try! Game, set, match!
CONVERSION, BRUMBIES, LONERGAN! 40-14: Good kick from Lonergan, who has taken over kicking duties from Lolesio. The Brumbies bring up 40.
The Waratahs got nothing out of their last spell of pressure, but they're on the attack again. However, their attacking lineout is stolen against the throw by the Brumbies.
TRY, BRUMBIES, BANKS! 45-14: The hooter goes and all the Brumbies have to do is put the ball out of play to put this game to bed. However, they decide to do it their own way. Off a scrum, they move the ball quickly towards Banks, with Muirhead's run through the heart of the defence already having put the Brumbies on the front foot. Banks throws the dummy and beats the tackle to score!
FULL-TIME: BRUMBIES 47-14 WARATAHS. All over at the GIO Stadium in Canberra. After a closely fought first half, the Brumbies ran riot in the second, sealing a comfortable bonus point win in the last Super Rugby game before the coronavirus-enforced break.
CONVERSION, BRUMBIES, BANKS! 47-14: Banks adds the extras to his own try to finish off the game.
