Cheetahs coach Hawies Fourie has announced the team to take on the Invitational team in Saturday's Toyota Challenge in Bloemfontein.

Veteran scrumhalf Ruan Pienaar will lead the Cheetahs against the Invitational side which is made up of fringe players from the PRO14 Rainbow Cup SA teams.

Honouring the work done by schools and school coaches in South Africa, players from both teams will have the unique opportunity to wear the socks of the school that helped them create their respective rugby paths.

"With this gesture, we would like to thank all the schools and school coaches that tirelessly produce top quality rugby players for the South African rugby landscape on an annual basis," said Harold Verster, managing director of the Cheetahs.

The Invitational team will be coached by former Springbok backline coach Ricardo Loubscher and current Bok scrum coach Daan Human. Their starting XV will be confirmed on Friday morning.
