Corne Krige backs 4 SA teams in PRO16, but stresses need for promotion-relegation

Four South African teams playing in an expanded PRO16 event in Europe makes sense, provided there is the opportunity for others to join the fray via a promotion-relegation method.

This is the view of former Springbok captain Corne Krige, who told Sport24 on Tuesday he was in favour of South African rugby heading to the northern hemisphere.

Krige shared his views on recent reports that South Africa's four Super Rugby franchises - the Bulls, Lions, Sharks and Stormers - would be included in an expanded PRO16 event in Europe.
