Stormers coach John Dobson may be seriously tempted, in the wake of events at Loftus on Saturday night, to take a cue from Jake White for his team's trek to Kings Park to play the humbled - and dangerous for that reason? - Sharks in the Rainbow Cup SA this weekend.

A strong part of the Bulls' success in a 43-9 thumping of the Durban-based visitors was mastermind White's decision to begin with two relative-rookie props, Gerhard Steenekamp and Mornay Smith, before rolling out a pair of more street-wise Springboks, Lizo Gqoboka and Trevor Nyakane, for the entire second half.

It was a potent cocktail, really: the youngsters more than held their scrumming ground, before Nyakane and Gqoboka, 32 and 31 respectively, only deepened the Sharks' misery both at the set-piece and in the broader forward slug-out.
