Lions coach Ivan van Rooyen has named his team for Saturday's PRO14 Rainbow Cup SA clash against the Sharks in Durban.

The Lions match-day squad shows four changes to the one which lost 22-9 to the Bulls in Pretoria last weekend.

Tiaan Swanepoel, Stean Pienaar, Wilhelm van der Sluys and Sibusiso Sangweni were not considered due to injuries, while Willem Alberts is still sidelined.

EW Viljoen replaces Swanepoel at fullback, Rabz Maxwane comes in for Pienaar at right wing, Reinhard Nothnagel is at lock in place of Van der Sluys and utility back Morne van der Berg takes Sangweni's spot on the bench.

Dan Kriel retains the captaincy in midfield and the exciting loose trio of Francke Horn, Vincent Tshituka and MJ Pelser get the nod again after solid performances last week.

Jordan Hendrikse has been recalled from the SA Rugby Under-20 Academy alignment camp while Jaco Visagie and Burger Odendaal return from injury and are included on the bench.

Saturday's clash at Kings Park is scheduled for 16:00.
