Is Jannie du Plessis trying to become some sort of rugby equivalent to that ageless cricketer Imran Tahir?

The burly Lions tighthead prop is a relative spring chicken in comparison, calendar-wise, as he is 38 while the Proteas’ leg-spinner - still very much active on the global tournament circuit and a possible returnee for the T20 World Cup later in the year - turned 42 a few weeks ago.
