Cape Town - Former
Springbok coach Heyneke Meyer feels the All Blacks are still well
ahead of their competitors, despite their drawn series with the British
and Irish Lions.
In what he described as a controversial statement, Meyer said the only reason the Lions secured the drawn series was because Sonny Bill Williams was sent off in the second Test in Wellington.
Meyer also believes that current Bok coach Allister Coetzee did the right thing by creating a team with a Super Rugby Lions "spine". He did, however, add that their 3-0 series victory over France was against a weak les Bleus side.
