There was a lot to enjoy about the Springboks' performance despite their 19-17 loss to the All Blacks in Townsville.

The intensity of the game and the narrow margin was befitting the magnitude of the occasion. That the All Blacks won, their 60th success in the 100 games in which the sides have met, was probably the fairest outcome.
