Welsh ref for Boks v Wallabies

Cape Town - Wales' Nigel Owens will be the man with the whistle for the Springboks' must-win Rugby Championship Test against Australia at Newlands on Saturday.

Kick-off is at 17:05.

In a tournament blighted by sub-standard officiating, Heyneke Meyer's men will be hoping Owens has a controversy-free match as they look to keep their title hopes alive with a bonus-point victory in Cape Town.

Owens will be assisted by England's Wayne Barnes and Mathieu Raynal of France, while England's Graham Hughes will handle the TMO duties.

Meanwhile, South Africa's Craig Joubert will officiate in Round 5's other match between Argentina and New Zealand in La Plata at 00:10 on Sunday morning (SA time).

Joubert will be assisted by Jérôme Garcès of France and Wales' Leighton Hodges, while SA's Deon van Blommestein will be the TMO.

The All Blacks currently hold a comfortable six-point lead atop the standings, with the Springboks and Wallabies tied on 10, while Argentina, bring up the rear on three.
