If the Springboks and franchises felt that the lockdown break had become tenuous, spare a thought for the Blitzboks.

Still very much a jewel in local rugby's crown, Neil Powell's troops are still stuck in limbo, with no competitive action in sight.

There's, naturally, a still very tentative Tokyo Olympics to look forward too, but the national sevens coach has reached the point where he's not going to employ his customary meticulous planning until something actually happens.
