Former Blitzboks star Werner Kok has called on the public for assistance after all his Springbok Sevens jerseys were stolen.

The winger posted a video on social media on Friday where he asked anyone with information to come forward.

"Hello everyone, I really need your help. It's tough for me to make this video... all my Springbok Sevens jerseys have been stolen in Cape Town... so, if you see anything please send me a message or drop me a DM (direct message)," Kok said.

Kok, 28, is a former sevens star who won Bronze with the Blitzboks at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

He also wrote on his personal Twitter account: "I have been dreading making this tweet but I have to get the word out. On the 1/12/2021 ALL of my Springbok Sevens jerseys (number 5) were stolen from a storage facility in CPT. 10 years of hard work stolen in 10 min. If you see or hear anything please please let me know.

"Everything is gone all my achievements and special jerseys from Commonwealth to Olympics and every tournament in-between my heart is heavy because no amount of money will ever be able to replace this. A legacy I wanted to show my children, just taken."

In recent seasons, Kok has shifted his focus to 15s and currently plies his trade for the Sharks in Durban.

He'll feature off the bench in Friday night's United Rugby Championship encounter between the Sharks and Bulls at Kings Park.

Kick-off is at 19:00.
