SPECIAL REPORT | It's now or never for Western Province, Kolisi key to American deal

The Western Province Rugby Football Union (WPRFU), under the leadership of president Zelt Marais, is at a pivotal crossroads with Springbok captain Siya Kolisi key to its future. 

A deal worth $6 million (around R100 million) is on the table from New York-based MVM Holdings, headed by former Amanzimtoti resident Marco Masotti, to acquire a controlling stake in the union’s professional arm, WP Professional Rugby (WPPR).

But time is running out to get it over the line.
