By the sounds of it, Damian Willemse has convinced Springbok selectors of something they've been loath to do since 2018: swap the Stormers utility back for Willie le Roux in a big Test.

Despite form, fixture or injury, it's taken more than the jaws of life to prize the No 15 jersey off Le Roux's back.

Against Wales on Saturday, Willemse has a chance to stake a proper claim for the fullback berth ahead of the 70-Test veteran, who has fallen on uncertain times of late.
