I had begun penning this regular Monday column with the following intro: “Time is running chillingly short for the Springboks to nail down a warm-up Test roster ahead of the massive challenge of the British and Irish Lions.”

But then ... voila.

Even as I was doing so, landed (by email) the joint-missive from SA Rugby/World Rugby, confirming that the Boks, at long last, will click back into action after what will have been a 20-month absence with a two-Test mini-series at home to Georgia in the first two weeks of July.
