Jurie Roux's ongoing legal battle with the University of Stellenbosch will enter a new chapter on Wednesday when the former SA Rugby CEO takes to the Western Cape High Court.
Roux has already lost an arbitration that ordered him to pay back R37 million to Stellenbosch after he was deemed to have misappropriated university funds during his time on its finance committee from 2002 to 2010.
That decision was further upheld by an independent arbitrations appeal panel in December 2021, but Roux survived the whole of 2022 as SA Rugby CEO until he was eventually ousted from that position on 31 December last year.
