Cheetahs' departing 'magnificent three' leave a major void

Ever the proverbial milk cow, the Cheetahs this weekend will have to say goodbye to three stalwarts slap-bang in the middle of the Super Rugby Unlocked campaign.

And, to make matters that much more bittersweet, Jasper Wiese, Walt Steenkamp and Benhard Janse van Rensburg make their respective final appearances away from home, at Ellis Park against the Lions on Saturday.

Frustratingly, the central franchise's sterling, if tight, 19-17 victory over the Bulls this past weekend, to a large extent, showed the virtues of all three men.
