Cape Town - Welsh club Ospreys are reportedly in negotiations with Stormers coach Robbie Fleck regarding taking over at the PRO14 outfit.
The Welsh region parted company with coach Steve Tandy last month after he was in charge for six years. Allen Clarke, who was the forwards coach under Tandy, is currently serving as their interim head coach.
Fleck is on the Ospreys' shortlist but they have also spoken to other candidates, the reports indicate.
When contacted by Sport24 on Monday, a WP Rugby spokesperson indicated that Fleck was contracted to the union until the end of the 2019 season, but declined to comment further.
The 42-year-old Fleck played as centre for the Stormers and Bath and also represented South Africa in 31 Tests between 1999 and 2002.
He served as the Stormers' assistant coach from 2010 before being elevated to the head coaching role when Eddie Jones relinquished the reins at the Cape Town-based franchise to become England's head coach.
