Sharks playmaker Curwin Bosch has been in superb form this Super Rugby season and has entered the Springbok conversation.
A player who has been at the Sharks since 2016, the 22-year-old endured a frustrating time at the franchise under the leadership of former coach Robert du Preez when it came to settling on a position.
With Du Preez backing his son Robert du Preez Jnr at flyhalf, Bosch played a lot of his rugby at fullback during that time.
With the arrival of Sean Everitt this season, though, Bosch has been given the platform to make the No 10 jersey his own and he has risen to the task.
Bosch has started all four of the matches the Sharks have won so far in 2020 while he did not feature in their loss to the Hurricanes as he was attending to a family emergency.
His form has seen him included in Springbok selection speculation this season, but he is not getting too carried away with that.
"The most important thing for me is to perform for the Sharks ... that's my priority," Bosch said after being named in the side for Saturday's clash against the Jaguares in Durban.
"Obviously it's a goal and a dream of mine to play for the Springboks again but I need the team to do well in order for me to get there."
On being backed at flyhalf, Bosch acknowledged that the peace of mind had been good for him.
"It's good to have that consistency. I always knew going into the season that I was going to get game time at No 10, so I could really put my mind and energy into becoming better week in and week out," he said.
"It helps having the players around me like [scrumhalf] Louis Schreuder who has over 100 caps in Super Rugby and Andre Esterhuizen and Lukhanyo Am who have played for the Springboks.
"There are a lot of good leaders within the squad, so a lot of credit must go to the guys around me who make my game a lot easier."
If the Sharks win on Saturday, they will move to the top of the South African Conference.
Kick-off is at 15:05.
