Cape Town - The Sharks go into Saturday's Super Rugby clash against the Bulls knowing that they have a woeful record against the men from Pretoria.

This is a massive fixture in the context of the 2019 season, with both sides having won three and lost two this year to date.

The Bulls got the better of the Durbanites when they beat them 37-14 back on March 9, but a closer look at the recent history between the sides shows that the Sharks are on a serious winless streak.

In the last EIGHT meetings between the Bulls and Sharks in Super Rugby, the Sharks have won zero.

In an incredible run of results going back to 2014, the Bulls have won seven matches against the Sharks while there has been one draw.

The last time the Sharks beat the Bulls in Super Rugby was all the way back in the opening round of fixtures in the 2014 edition of the tournament when the Sharks won 31-16 at Kings Park.

Since then, though, there has been no success for the Durbanites, meaning that coach Robert du Preez has never tasted victory against the Bulls in Super Rugby.

Sharks v Bulls last eight Super Rugby results:

2014: Bulls 23-19 Sharks

2015: Bulls 43-35 Sharks

2015: Sharks 10-17 Bulls

2016: Bulls 16-16 Sharks

2017: Sharks 17-30 Bulls

2018: Sharks 10-40 Bulls

2018: Bulls 39-33 Sharks

2019: Bulls 37-14 Sharks

Kick-off in Durban on Saturday will be at 15:05.
