The 19-year-old former Paul Roos pupil, recently the beneficiary of a brief learning stint at Montpellier, has been back training with the Stormers ahead of the imminent, unorthodox new domestic rugby campaign.

Erasmus named him among several notable rookies for a swollen group of 93 home-based players from which he and Springbok coach Jacques Nienaber will soon do a draft pick as commissioners for their respective "Green" and "Gold" outfits for the Capetonian fixture on 3 October.
