The 33-year-old Welsh legend joined the Cape franchise ahead of the 2020 Super Rugby season but returned home to Wales ahead of the South African lockdown period.

Roberts, who has 97 Test matches to his name, has been serving as a volunteer for the National Health Service (NHS) and has been doing what he can to help medical workers in Cardiff since his return.

"I'm going around meeting some great groups of people and learning how they adapting during these difficult times," Roberts said.

"I guess we've all had to adapt. Certainly training has had to adapt.

"Motivation can be quite difficult, but you've got to change and learn to adapt and go with the bounce of the ball."

It is not clear when, or even if, Super Rugby 2020 will resume. After seven rounds of fixtures when the tournament was suspended, the Stormers were in seventh place on the combined log and second in the South African Conference.
