Stormers coach John Dobson has named his line-up for Saturday's United Rugby Championship encounter against the Lions in Cape Town.

Lock Marvin Orie and wing Seabelo Senatla will make their first appearances of the season for the Stormers.

Orie had been on Springbok squad duty, while Senatla was injured.

Orie will form a second row combination with skipper captain Salmaan Moerat, with the rest of the Stormers pack unchanged from the one which beat Welsh outfit Dragons 24-10 in Newport last month.

In the backline, Senatla and Sergeal Petersen start on the wings, with Springbok Warrick Gelant at fullback and Dan du Plessis and Ruhan Nel comprising the midfield combination.

Scrumhalf Stefan Ungerer and flyhalf Manie Libbok are the halfbacks.

Up to 2 000 fans are permitted to attend and Dobson said they were excited to play in front of the faithful.

"It has been quite some time since we played in front of our faithful fans, so this will be a special occasion for the team and we want to put up a worthy performance," the coach told the Stormers website.

"It is great to have some of our best players back in the mix and preparations have gone really well, so hopefully that translates onto the pitch on Saturday.

"We were pleased with the progress we made as a team on our tour and we want to build on that and deliver a rousing performance at home."

Saturday's clash at Cape Town Stadium kicks off at 17:00.
