Springbok lock Eben Etzebeth lost his cool with a Toulon team-mate while warming up for their European Champions Cup clash against the Sale Sharks at the Stade Mayol last weekend.

Video footage has emeged showing Etzebeth taking exception to the grip Toulon flank Julien Ory had on his shirt while they completed a maul exercise.

It also wasn't the best of afternoons for the World Cup winner as he was injured during the match after landing awkwardly in a tackle.

After being treated on the pitch, the burly lock was helped off the field by medical staff and underwent a head injury assessment (HIA), which he failed.

Toulon won the match 26-14.
