It wasn't pretty, but Bafana Bafana and head coach Hugo Broos claimed an all-important victory against Ethiopia in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Tuesday at FNB Stadium.

Getaneh Kabede's own goal ensured South African fans left with a smile on their faces, in the first appearance of supporters in the stands in 18 months.

The three points moved South Africa back to the summit of Group G, after Ghana defeated Zimbabwe earlier in the day.
