Durban - Ahead of their crucial clash against Cameroun on Tuesday, Bafana Bafana captain Itumeleng Khune says his team-mates must be willing to compete in the air against the West African giants if they want to collect all the three points.

South Africa will lock horns against The Indomitable Lions in the 2017 African Cup Of Nations qualifier at the Moses Mabhida stadium in Durban.

The 28-year-old shot stopper insists that Bafana Bafana must avoid conceding during set pieces as it is their opponents strongest way to capitalise.

Khune believes that the set pieces costed them maximum points when the two sides played to a 2-2 stalemate away from home at the weekend.

"We tried to defend the goals at our level best and those guys were beating us with heights," Khune said.

"I think if we can be able to try and compete with them things will be better. If we can't win the ball they must also not win the ball, especially in the air.

"Another thing which we must be aware of, we must not give fouls in dangerous areas.

"Because that's what they were always looking for at the weekend and they always capitalise from those set pieces. But I hope that we'll deal with the situations better."

Kick off is at 19:00.
