Cape Town - Bafana Bafana coach Shakes Mashaba claims spirits are high in the camp as they prepare for the second game of their Central American tour against Honduras.

After a morale-boosting 1-0 victory over Costa Rica, courtesy of an Andile Jali strike, Mashaba insists the squad are looking to build momentum ahead of their two-legged World Cup qualifying clash with Angola.

"I have always maintained that winning is a good culture to develop," the 65-year-old said.

"The tour of Central America has really cemented the unity among players and most of them will form a solid foundation for a team that will play against Angola.

"Everything seems to be coming together. The combination at the back and midfield is any coach's dream and we just need to beef up the strike force going forward."

Bafana, who recorded a 1-0 victory over highly-rated Senegal prior to their clash with Costa Rica, face a Honduras side ranked 89th in the latest FIFA standings.

The match is scheduled to take place in San Pedro Sula, the Central American country’s second biggest city.

Kick-off on Wednesday (October 13) is at 02:00 SA time.
